Extreme prototype ......

The boat at the moment is unnamed but is registered as Hull 425.  It is a Owen Clarke designed prototype Mini Transat 6.50.

Design specifications include a carbon/ foam composite hull for extreme lightweight, but high strength construction.  Boom and pole are both carbon, but the boat is currently fitted with an All Spars Aluminium Mast, but we are looking to replace this with an ultra lightweight carbon mast with PBO standing rigging to help reduce weight even further.

Our ultimate weapon is our canting keel which allows us to help counter the heeling forces of the mainsail, by applying the equivalent force of having 4 men sitting on the rail ...... powerful stuff on a 900 kilo boat!
